American Trucking Associations

Founded in 1933, the American Trucking Associations, also known as A.T.A., provides a range of freight, pickup and delivery services. It offers various advocacy services and provides cross-border solutions. The association s national driver recruitment campaign is an effort to promote positive images of truck driving and to recruit long-haul truck drivers for motor carriers and truck driving schools. The American Trucking Associations also offers several advertising programs that are designed to promote trucking as an employment option. It operates the A.T.A. Law and Engineering Department that is responsible for handling legal issues. The association additionally offers labor, litigation, safety, security, and tax and registration services. The American Trucking Associations maintains a board of directors that is comprised of a vice chairman, treasurer, president and secretary.
