Dr. Colonna specializes in Acute Care Surgery which is composed of Trauma Surgery, Emergency General Surgery, and Surgical Critical Care. His clinical practice includes the University Hospital SICU and the University Trauma and Emergency Surgery (UTES) service. Dr. Colonna also has a General Surgery Clinic focused on basic general surgical pathology with a special interest in complex abdominal wall hernias. Dr. Claire Walker is a Triple Board resident training Pediatrics, Adult Psychiatry and Child Psychiatry at University of Utah and Primary Children's Hospital. She enjoys providing well visits and acute care for babies, kids and teenagers of all ages and with their families. She has a particular interest in mental health including depression and anxiety. She completed her undergraduate degree at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island and medical school at Northwestern's Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. Dr.Kunkel received his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, and completed his internal medicine residency and rheumatology fellowships at the University of Utah. Dr. Kunkel joined the faculty in 2004 in the Division of Rheumatology and is currently an associate professor of medicine. He is seeing patients at both the University Hospital and VA Medical Center, and has a clinical and research interest in the causes of, detection of (in particular with the use of musculoskeletal ultrasound), and treatment of rheumatoid arthritis and gout. Dr.Kunkel has published several articles in the peer reviewed medical literature, and is a member of the American College of Rheumatology and the Ultrasound School of North American Rheumatologists.
