She then completed her residency training in Pediatrics at Kravis Children’s Hospital of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City. Annika Lenz, MD is currently a non-op Sports Medicine Fellow. She completed her pediatric residency at the University of Utah. Her background includes an undergraduate degree at UCLA where she was a collegiate diver, followed by obtaining her medical degree at USC. With a particular affinity for working with athletes, Dr. Lenz is dedicated to advancing preventative medicine strategies tailored to their unique needs. Luke Gessel, M.D., is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Utah School of Medicine in Salt Lake City. Dr. Gessel received his medical degree from Ohio State University College of Medicine in Columbus, Ohio. He completed his Internal Medicine Internship, Residency at University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine, and his and Gastrointestinal and Hepatology Fellowship at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine. Dr. Gessel is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. She sees many types of cases at the University of Utah Salt Lake facility and specializes in General Gastroenterology.
