Omar Wever-Pinzon

Marc Error, MD, is an Associate Professor within the Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery. Dr. Error’s clinical interested include general otolaryngology with a specific focus in surgical treatments for sleep apnea. He initiated the University of Utah Inspire implantation program to treat obstructive sleep apnea and has participated in clinical trials for devices to treat sleep apnea. He is the Vice Chair of Clinical Affairs for the Department of Otolaryngology, and he is the section chief of General Otolaryngology. Dr. Error has been an item-writer for the American Board of Otolaryngology (ABOTO). For the past 5 years, he has served as an Examiner for the ABOTO oral examination. He is currently the treasurer for the Utah Society of Otolaryngology and has been on the society’s leadership committee since 2019. He graduated from Brigham Young University with a B.A. in Business management. He pursued medical training by attending medical school at University of Oklahoma where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. Dr. Error completed his training as a resident in Otolaryngology- Head & Neck surgery at the University of Utah. After completion of residency, he accepted a position on faculty at the University of Utah. Dr. Error has lived in Guatemala and is fluent in Spanish. Outside of his professional responsibilities, his time is spent raising his 3 children.

Dr. Ghosh completed her medical degree at St. George’s University School of Medicine. She then completed her Pediatric residency at the University of Maryland Medical Center followed by a Pediatric Hematology and Oncology fellowship at the University of Minnesota. During her fellowship, she received additional training in Clinical Research through the Masters in Clinical Research program at the University of Minnesota School of Public Health. She then went on to join the faculty and become a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine where she practiced for two years in pediatric oncology. Dr. Ghosh is currently an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Utah and is in the Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology. She is a member of the Leukemia and Lymphoma team and the Oncology Lead for the Vascular Anomalies Clinic at the University of Utah and Primary Children’s Hospital. Dr. Ghosh is board-certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Hematology and Oncology. Dr. Ghosh’s clinical interests include care of children with leukemia and lymphoma, and she is well versed in caring for children with other childhood cancers. She is also interested in the long-term effects of diagnosis and treatment of childhood cancer. Her research interests include improved care for survivors of childhood cancer, and how lifestyle characteristics can impact diagnosis and treatment of childhood cancer.

Amir Kashani MD, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Utah School of Medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition and specializes in ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease. His clinical interests and expertise are in inflammatory diseases of the intestinal tract that include inflammatory bowel disease (ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease). Dr. Kashani is the co-director of the Department of Internal Medicine/ Division of Gastroenterology breath test program. Dr. Kashani received his medical degree from the Tehran University of Medical Sciences School of Medicine, and went on to complete his residency at Loma Linda University Medical Center. He completed his fellowship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and an advanced 4th year Inflammatory Bowel Disease fellowship at Vanderbilt University.
