He has sat on education and curriculum committees as a fellow at Montefiore Medical Center and served as a member of the Fellow's Committee of the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America.Dr. Okun is a member of several professional societies: the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the New York Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Gastroenterology Association, and the American Medical Association.Dr. Okun treats a wide array of gastrointestinal and liver diseases, with a special interest in inflammatory bowel disease.
