Luke P. Robinson, M.D., is a hand surgeon with Norton Arm & Hand Institute. He earned his medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine, where he also completed his orthopedic surgery residency. Dr. Robinson then completed an arm and hand surgery fellowship at the Philadelphia Hand Center, Pennsylvania. He is board certified in orthopedic surgery and hand surgery. Dr. Robinson’s clinical interests include arthroscopy, ligament and bone injuries of the upper extremities, and wide-awake hand surgery. He continues to train orthopedic residents and engages in peer-reviewed research. He also participates in global outreach programs in Central America and is fluent in medical Spanish.

He is chairman of the Historian and Museum Curator Committee of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand. He also is an editorial reviewer for the journal Injury and the Journal of Hand Surgery, American Volume. Away from the office Dr. Tate enjoys spending time with his children, long distance running, reading, music and studying languages.
