Ian Del Conde Pozzi, MD

Michele L. Taubman, M.D., RPVI, is a board-certified vascular surgeon at Baptist Health Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute. Her clinical interests include aortic aneurysms, peripheral arterial disease, limb salvage, dialysis access, varicose veins and thoracic outlet syndrome. She also follows patients with carotid disease and offers surgical endarterectomy or transcarotid arterial revascularization, when appropriate. Dr. Taubman is certified by the American Board of Surgery in general surgery and vascular surgery and by the Alliance for Physician Certification & Advancement as a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation. Committed to advancing the field of vascular surgery, Dr. Taubman is actively involved in research to assess the safety and effectiveness of vascular disease treatments. She has published her work in medical journals and presented at vascular surgery meetings. Dr. Taubman is an affiliate assistant professor, volunteer faculty, at the University of South Florida College of Medicine. She serves as surgical faculty for the interventional radiology fellowship at Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute as well as on numerous committees at the Institute. She is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, councilor for the south region of the Florida Vascular Society and member of the South Florida Society for Vascular Surgery. Dr. Taubman earned her medical degree at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and remained at the university to complete a general surgery residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital, where she served as chief resident. Her clinical training also included a vascular surgery fellowship at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. Following her fellowship, Dr. Taubman returned to Miami where she has served patients in the Baptist Health community for more than a decade. Dedicated to providing patient-centered care, Dr. Taubman enjoys establishing relationships with her patients and their families and working closely with them to achieve their health goals. Dr. Taubman is fluent in English and Spanish. As a former gymnast, she prioritizes staying healthy and active. Her current pastimes include playing pickleball, traveling and reading.

Anand N. Tarpara, M.D., RPVI, is a board- certified, fellowship-trained vascular surgeon at Baptist Health Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute. He specializes in procedures for limb salvage, deep vein thrombosis carotid stenosis, venous insufficiency, dialysis access creation and maintenance, and aortic aneurysm repair. His goal is to restore circulation, prevent complications and help patients return to the activities they love. Dr. Tarpara is dual-certified by the American Board of Surgery in general and vascular surgery and is a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation through the Alliance for Physician Certification & Advancement. Passionate about the future of medicine, he is an advocate for the transformative role of artificial intelligence in improving diagnosis, streamlining treatment and delivering personalized patient care. He has published in peer-reviewed medical journals, presented at national vascular surgery meetings and is an active member of the Society for Vascular Surgery. Dr. Tarpara earned his medical degree at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine, where he also completed his general surgery residency and served as chief resident in his final year. He went on to complete a vascular surgery fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Guided by a patient-first philosophy, Dr. Tarpara blends advanced surgical expertise with clear communication and compassion. He believes the best outcomes occur when patients feel informed, supported and empowered. Partnering with his patients, he tailors each treatment plan to the unique needs of the individual, with a focus on preserving both quality of life and long-term function. Fluent in English and conversational in Gujarati, Dr. Tarpara enjoys exploring the world with his wife, staying active, playing basketball, discovering new music and gardening.

Howard E. Katzman, M.D., is a vascular surgeon at Baptist Health Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute. He has a long history of caring for renal failure patients. His clinical interests in vascular surgery include both open and endovascular repair procedures of the aortal and distal vessels, complex dialysis access reconstruction and limb salvage surgery. He is certified by the American Board of Surgery. Dr. Katzman serves as an affiliate assistant professor at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine and a clinical assistant professor at Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a founding member of the South Florida Society for Vascular Surgery and member of several other professional organizations. Throughout his career, Dr. Katzman has been a lead investigator and participant in several clinical research efforts related to the development of vascular graft materials. He has presented his work at national and international vascular surgery meetings. Dr. Katzman earned his medical degree at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He completed an internal medicine internship as well as a general and vascular surgery residency at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, Jackson Memorial Hospital. When he is not treating patients, Dr. Katzman enjoys spending time with his family, visiting the Florida Keys, traveling and golfing.
