Howard E. Katzman, M.D., is a vascular surgeon at Baptist Health Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute. He has a long history of caring for renal failure patients. His clinical interests in vascular surgery include both open and endovascular repair procedures of the aortal and distal vessels, complex dialysis access reconstruction and limb salvage surgery. He is certified by the American Board of Surgery. Dr. Katzman serves as an affiliate assistant professor at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine and a clinical assistant professor at Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a founding member of the South Florida Society for Vascular Surgery and member of several other professional organizations. Throughout his career, Dr. Katzman has been a lead investigator and participant in several clinical research efforts related to the development of vascular graft materials. He has presented his work at national and international vascular surgery meetings. Dr. Katzman earned his medical degree at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He completed an internal medicine internship as well as a general and vascular surgery residency at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, Jackson Memorial Hospital. When he is not treating patients, Dr. Katzman enjoys spending time with his family, visiting the Florida Keys, traveling and golfing.
