Gloria Coronel-Couto, M.D., FACP, is a board-certified internal medicine physician at Baptist Health Primary Care | FIU. She specializes in preventive medicine, acute illnesses and injuries, chronic disease management and medication management. In addition to caring for patients, Dr. Coronel-Couto teaches and advises medical students at all levels and motivates them to establish a desire for lifelong learning. She serves as clerkship assistant director and assistant professor of internal medicine at FIU Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. In her role as the clerkship assistant director, she is responsible for coordinating clerkship sites, teaching students and evaluating their performance. Dr. Coronel-Couto earned her medical degree at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine after earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at FIU Nicole Wertheim College of Nursing & Health Sciences. She went on to serve as chief resident during her internal medicine residency at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, Jackson Memorial Hospital. She is a fellow of the American College of Physicians. Dr. Coronel-Couto is committed to providing high-quality care and ensuring patient safety through the prevention of medical errors. She spends quality time with her patients, treats them how she would want to be treated and ensures that all their questions are answered. Dr. Coronel-Couto is fluent in English and Spanish. Dr. Landa-Galindez earned her medical degree at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans. She completed an internal medicine internship at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami and an internal medicine residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City. For more than three decades, Dr. Landa-Galindez has provided the highest levels of professional and personalized patient care to generations of family members. She treats each patient with the same level of compassionate care she would treat her own family member. Dr. Landa-Galindez is fluent in English and Spanish.
