Village Baldwin Public Works
United Fire Rescue is a volunteer organization formed in 1994 through the consolidation of local fire departments from Baldwin, Hammond, and Woodville, providing emergency services across a unified fire service area in St. Croix County. Serving approximately 15,000 citizens, they cover a vast area of over 180 square miles, which includes four villages and nine townships, alongside automatic aid agreements with neighboring fire departments.
Responding to around 250 calls for service annually, United Fire Rescue tackles a variety of incidents including structure fires, hazardous material situations, and traffic crashes. The organization is recognized for its innovative contributions to the fire service, notably being one of the first to implement the Jaws of Life extrication equipment in Wisconsin.
