United Fire & Rescue
United Fire Rescue was established in 1994 through the consolidation of the fire departments from Baldwin, Hammond, and Woodville, forming a unified volunteer organization dedicated to serving a large area of St. Croix County. With a coverage area of over 180 square miles, they provide emergency response to approximately 15,000 residents across four villages and nine townships.
The organization responds to a wide range of emergencies, including structure fires, traffic accidents, and hazardous material incidents, handling around 250 calls for service each year. Recognized as a pioneer in fire service innovation, United Fire Rescue was among the first to implement advanced extrication equipment and unique firefighting apparatus in the region.
