Friends of the Huckleberry is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in July 1991 with the mission of building a multipurpose trail that connects the communities of Blacksburg and Christiansburg, Virginia. Over the past 30 years, they have collaborated with public and private partners to raise funds, acquire land, and construct the 15-mile paved Huckleberry Trail, which is part of a larger 60-mile trail system.

The organization actively promotes, funds, and maintains the Huckleberry Trail and its connections to nearby parks and trail networks, providing an essential resource for outdoor recreation and community connectivity.
