Kilmer Middle School

Established in 1967, Kilmer Middle School provides general academic education programs. The school serves more than 1,000 students in grades seven and eight. It conducts classes in various subjects that include language arts, math, science, social studies and physical education. It offers a variety of extracurricular activities, such as an orchestra, music, dance, technical education, and fine and performing arts. Kilmer Middle School also provides French and Spanish as foreign languages. The school operates chess, sewing, yoga, and family and consumer science clubs. It offers special education programs to gifted and talented students. In addition, it organizes several cultural and educational events. The school also operates a parent-teacher association that conducts various fundraising programs. Located in Vienna, Va., Kilmer Middle School is a part of Fairfax County Public Schools, which operates over 200 schools and learning centers.
