Handley Regional Library in Winchester, VA, was established in 1913 through a generous bequest from Judge John Handley of Scranton, Pennsylvania. Designed in Beaux-Arts style by architects J. Stewart Barney and Henry Otis Chapman, the library has undergone renovations and additions over the years to continue serving the community.

This is a majestic building that stands out. It is close to, but not on the downtown stretch of Winchester. It is very nice to look at; functionally it didn't have as much seating as I would have...

very surprising library. It was donated back in 1930. The outside is very stately and beautiful and you walk in and there is lead stained glass dome. sunlight shines through it's very beautiful...

My 3-year-old granddaughter and I had fun at the Handley Library in Winchester. This is no ordinary library. It has a rotunda, a spiral staircase, a glass floor, and lots of cool reading niches....
