Frederick County Public Libraries (FCPL) in Frederick, MD is currently seeking two new Trustees to join their seven-member Board. Trustees play a vital role in advocating for the library, guiding policy-making, and reviewing proposed budgets.
Additionally, FCPL recently announced a catalog maintenance scheduled for February 17, during which the catalog will be offline for approximately six hours starting at 5:15 p.m. EST. This downtime will affect access to the catalog and vendor products that authenticate via library card, with apologies for any inconvenience caused.

I love the Library. Lots of help, books, films, etc. They have lots of kid's programs, and adult programs, too. My only complaint: Many librarians walk through with keys and cards jingling....

So while I like the staff, this library is weird. The sheriffs department has deputys posted at the library. Originally, I thought it was library staff checking the bathrooms every thirty minutes....
