Fort Pocahontas, located at Wilson's Landing on the James River in Charles City, Virginia, is a Civil War fortification that played a significant role during the May 24, 1864, land and naval action at Wilson's Wharf. Constructed and manned by U.S. Colored Troops under the command of Brigadier General Edward A. Wild, the fort was named in honor of Pocahontas after its completion following a Confederate cavalry attack.

After its abandonment in June 1865, the site remained largely untouched until it was purchased in 1996 by Harrison Ruffin Tyler, grandson of President John Tyler. Today, efforts to preserve and interpret the fort continue through Fort Pocahontas LTD, a private foundation dedicated to honoring its historical significance.
