Central Virginia Community College

Central Virginia Community College is a two-year, state-supported educational institution and a member of the Virginia Community College System, providing learning opportunities to the students of Lynchburg and Bedford in Virginia. The college offers a wide range of curriculums and academic programs serving more than 200,000 people throughout the counties of Amherst, Appomattox, Bedford and Campbell in the state. Its range of academic courses includes accounting, architectural technology, art, biology, building, business management and administration, chemistry, civil engineering, cosmetology theory, economics, education, electrical technology, emergency medical services, English, horticulture and legal administration. It also offers courses in marketing, natural science, optician, real estate, religion, respiratory therapy, sociology, Spanish, speech and drama, and welding. Its occupational and technical programs lead to diplomas, certificates and associate of applied science degrees that are designed to prepare individuals for professions. The college is located in Lynchburg.
