Randolph College

Founded by William Waugh Smith, Randolph-Macon Woman's College is one of the leading providers of secondary education in the United States. Located in Lynchburg, Va., R-MWC has been operational for more than 55 years. Randolph-Macon is approved by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, and enrolls more than 5,000 students annually. The college offers several scholarships and financial aid, including Jack Kent Cooke Fellowship, Fulbright Grant for Study Abroad, Barry M. Goldwater, James Madison, Mellon, Rhodes, Marshall, and Truman scholarships. It offers majors in more than 35 academic areas, including accounting, American studies, anthropology and sociology, fine arts, biology, chemistry, business administration, classical studies, criminal justice, economics, childhood education, and mechanical and civil engineering. The college also offers majors in English and creative writing, environmental studies, foreign languages, world history, human services, mathematics, medical technology, and vocational and instrumental music.
