Founded in 1859, Averett University offers bachelors and masters degrees in 32 major areas of study. It offers a variety of bachelor s degree programs in equestrian studies, French, history, human-computer interaction, journalism, leadership, religion, sociology Spanish and theater. The university provides students a range of master s degree in art, biology, biomedical sciences, ecology, radiology technology and management science. It also offers degree in global marketing management, finance chemistry, computer science and computer information systems. Its graduate and professional studies program provides degrees in business administration, science in aerospace management and education. Averett University offers master of education degree program in five areas of specialization, including curriculum and instruction, special education-learning disabilities specialization, reading specialization, biology and mathematics education. It is located in Danville, Va.
