Dr. Alvey received his medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, MO. He completed his Pediatric residency at Primary Children’s Hospital/ University of Utah School of Medicine. Dr. Alvey is an experienced general pediatrician who practiced in the community for over 15 years prior to joining the Faculty at the University of Utah School of Medicine as an Associate Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of General Pediatrics. He currently sees patients in the Comprehensive Care Program at Primary Children’s Medical Center and at University Pediatric Clinic (Clinic 6) at University Hospital. In those settings, Dr. Alvey sees a wide range of patients of all ages and health conditions. Dr. Alvey's clinical interests include providing primary care for children with complex medical problems, ADHD and asthma. His clinical interests also include sports medicine, care of athletes with underlying medical issues, and care of children with underlying genetic, metabolic, and neurological disorders.

Kristine Smith, MD, Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Utah. She is a board-certified and fellowship-trained Rhinologist. Dr. Jennifer Trauscht-Van Horn is committed to providing excellent care and her active role in various professional capacities highlights her dedication to advancing women’s health. As a distinguished women’s health provider in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr Van Horn specializes in obstetrics, contraception, and infectious diseases, with a particular focus on HIV. Dr. Van Horn attended Amherst College, earning her Bachelor of Arts in English and Music. She obtained her medical degree from the University of Washington School of Medicine and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Utah. Her extensive training includes an internship in Internal Medicine at the University of Vermont Department of Medicine. Throughout her career, Dr. Van Horn has held multiple leadership positions. Dr. Van Horn is currently the Medical Director of both Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Mdsen’s Women’s Health Clinic. She has been a member of the University of Utah Healthcare ethics committee, served on the board of the University of Utah Medical Group, and is the obstetrics and gynecology ambulatory Chief Value Officer. She served as Medical Director of Planned Parenthood of Utah for 20 years and is the clinical supervisor for the Salt Lake City Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners.
