Universal City Municipal Court

The Universal City Police Department ensures safety of the residents through law enforcement. It maintains communication, criminal investigation, patrol and record divisions. It has a multicity negotiation task force that deals with suicide threats, barricaded subjects and hostage situations. The Universal City Police Department s officers participate in the Selective Traffic Enforcement Program (STEP), which targets traffic violations related to speeding, red lights, seat belts and intoxicated driving issues. It also operates the Universal City Crime Prevention Commission (UCCPC), which promotes various neighborhood watch programs.
