The Texas State Library and Archives Commission, also known as TSLAC, preserve historically significant records and other valuable resources. Founded in 1909, the agency serves the reading needs of individuals with physical and visual disabilities. It is responsible for overseeing and assisting with statewide library programs. The Texas State Library and Archives Commission offers records imaging and management training services for various government entities throughout the state. The agency additionally assists state and local governments for the conversion of paper records to micrographic and optical image formats. It provides a selection of online databases for public libraries. Lyndon Baines Johnson Library & Museum

Established in 1971, Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum maintains a collection of coins, stamps, gifts of state, oval office furniture, paintings and more than 4,000 editorial cartoons.
