For pulmonary appointments with Dr. Jani, please call 832-325-7222. Pushan Jani, MD, is a board-certified and fellowship-trained pulmonary medicine and pulmonary oncology specialist. His expertise includes treating teens and adults with abnormal chest imaging, pulmonary nodules, lung tumors, lung cancer screening, and pleural diseases. He also provides endoscopic lung volume reduction treatments for patients with severe COPD and bronchial thermoplasty treatment for patients with severe asthma. He believes in regular screenings and preventive care. His patients welcome his honesty and efficiency. His practice philosophy is “early diagnosis, compassionate care.” He has advanced training in pulmonary and critical care medicine and interventional pulmonology. As part of a team of practitioners, he offers multimodality cancer care with the on-site presence of specialists in medical oncology, radiology, and radiation oncology. Jani is also an associate professor of pulmonary and critical care medicine at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. He received the Dean’s Award for Excellence in Teaching in 2017 and 2018 and nominations for Physician of the Year from 2016-2018, and was awarded Faculty of the Year in 2015.
