Sami Hossri , MD
Sami Hossri, MD, is a board-certified pulmonologist with advanced fellowship training in pulmonary and critical care medicine. His clinical and academic interests include asthma and airway disorders. He’s also an assistant professor in the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston, where he also serves as the director of the asthma program. Hossri is board-certified in internal medicine, pulmonary disease, and critical care medicine. He received his medical degree from the University of Balamand in Beirut, Lebanon. He completed his internal medicine residency and pulmonary and critical care medicine fellowship at Staten Island University Hospital, where he served as chief fellow. Hossri has contributed to the medical field through publications in peer-reviewed journals and presentations at national conferences. His research interests include biologic therapy in asthma and personalized approaches to managing COPD. Outside of work, Hossri enjoys outdoor activities, including running, biking, and playing basketball.
