History

Our schools were originally established in 1971 by Mrs. Iranganie Weerasuria. The demand for AMI schools was so great that her second location was opened in 1977. In 1981 the third location was open with the assistance of Mrs. Lyndon B. Johnson. Mrs. Johnson sent all of her grandchildren and now great grandchildren to study at IMHOC. We invite you to join our rich legacy of learning.

Specialties

Our mission is to empower children with active creative minds through Dr. Maria Montessoris influential educational philosophy that emphasizes independence, freedom within limits, and discovery. We create learning environments that will improve skills necessary for success by nurturing the development of the whole child cognitive, social, emotional, and physical.
