Our school is founded in the principles and philosophies of Dr. Maria Montessori. WE believe that each child is a born learner. At TOM the children are guided through the traditional Montessori Method and its values. The children are also exposed to a modern approach to the traditional Montessori methods to enable and enhance the 21st Century child's learning capabilities and abilities. TOM is dedicated to educate and foster the child as a whole person emotionally, physically, intellectually, and spiritually in a multi-cultural society. This shall ultimately lead the learning experience at TOM as an aid to life. This is done in a prepared and nurturing environment, which includes a trained teacher who is called a 'guide'. The guide will observe each child and guide each child with the help of one or assistants. Included activities are Practical Life, Sensorial, Math, Language, Botany, Geography, Science, Art, Music, Spanish, and much more. Our prepared environment responds to the child's sensitive periods in order to blossom to the fullest potential possible. Learning occurs naturally and joyfully at the proper moment for each child. Our prepared environment along with a trained guide allows each child to discover, experience, learn, and develop according to his/her own pace.
