Hannah A Dineen , MD

Hannah A. Dineen, MD, is a board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon focused on hand and upper extremity surgery in adults and children. She’s trained in arthroscopy and minimally invasive, endoscopic, and microvascular surgery. Her clinical interests include complex trauma, tendon injuries, arthritis, and peripheral nerve surgery. Dineen is also an assistant professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. She grew up in Phoenix, Arizona, where she graduated from the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Tucson and was elected an Alpha Omega Alpha Honors Medical Society member. She then completed her orthopedic surgery residency at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, where she was awarded the Health Volunteers Overseas Traveling Orthopaedic Fellowship to travel to Moshi, Tanzania, for a medical mission trip. Dineen then completed her fellowship training in hand surgery at the renowned Indiana Hand to Shoulder Center. Dineen is actively engaged in research and education. She has published multiple clinical and basic science research papers and contributed to textbooks. She has also presented numerous scientific papers at local and national orthopedic conferences. She’s also a reviewer for the Journal of Hand Surgery and a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand, the American Association for Hand Surgery, and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Outside of work, Dineen enjoys spending time with her family, staying active in the outdoors, and enjoying Houston’s restaurant scene.
