Family Crisis Center

Established in 1981, the Family Crisis Center is a nonprofit agency that offers victim assistance and support services for individuals affected with domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse. It serves the residents of Bastrop, Colorado, Fayette and Lee counties in Texas. The agency provides community-based advocacy, emergency shelter, transitional housing, counseling, and information and referral services. The Family Crisis Center administers the Teen Violence Prevention Program, which includes education and training to increase the awareness of sexual harassment and dating violence among teenagers. It offers the Child Abuse Prevention Program, which features presentations for children in kindergarten through grade five on emotional, physical and sexual abuse. Additionally, the agency provides 24-hour crisis intervention services. The Family Crisis Center maintains its main office in Bastrop, Texas.
