Elena Nicole Zamora, MD, MHA, is a native Houstonian. She graduated from the American University of Antigua and completed her residency training at UTHealth Houston. Her areas of interest include lifestyle medicine, weight management, and migraines. Zamora treats infants, children, teens, adults, and seniors. She has a well-rounded approach focusing on the physical and mental well-being of her patients. Zamora believes in talking with patients about how they care for themselves, manage stress, and have balance in their lives. She feels strongly about the power of restorative sleep and social connection and actively works to avoid the use of risky substances with patients. Zamora previously served as the resident director on the board of directors at the Texas Academy of Family Physicians. Currently, she serves on the Council of Medical Practice. She has been recognized with numerous teaching awards, including the Faculty for Tomorrow award from the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine and McGovern Medical School’s Champions of the Clinical Learning Environment. She takes time to educate the community through various health news segments both in English and Spanish. In her free time, Zamora enjoys running, practicing visualization, positive affirmations, and mentorships.

To build on her expertise, Wang pursued a fellowship in microvascular reconstruction and microsurgery at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, a premier institution for cancer treatment and research. During her fellowship, she focused on her two passions, breast reconstruction and lymphedema surgery. Outside of work, her greatest joy is her family. She enjoys painting, cooking, traveling, and trying new restaurants in Houston with a Canadian flair on the menu.
