Annie M. Wang, MD, is a fellowship-trained plastic surgeon specializing in breast cancer reconstruction and lymphedema. Wang is an assistant professor in the Division of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. Wang pursued her medical education at the prestigious University of Toronto, where she not only earned her medical degree but also completed a Master of Science in system leadership and innovation at the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation (IHPME). This dual focus gave her a deep understanding of clinical practice and health system management, equipping her with a unique perspective on improving patient care and surgical outcomes.
