Daniel J Freet , MD

Annie M. Wang, MD, is a fellowship-trained plastic surgeon specializing in breast cancer reconstruction and lymphedema. In addition to the full spectrum of techniques for breast reconstruction, she’s trained in microvascular autologous breast reconstruction, where the patient’s own tissue is used to restore a breast. She is also an expert in lymphedema and has specific expertise in reconstructive lymphatic microsurgery and supermicrosurgery. Wang is an assistant professor in the Division of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. Wang pursued her medical education at the prestigious University of Toronto, where she not only earned her medical degree but also completed a Master of Science in system leadership and innovation at the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation (IHPME). This dual focus gave her a deep understanding of clinical practice and health system management, equipping her with a unique perspective on improving patient care and surgical outcomes. Following medical school, Wang completed her residency in plastic surgery at the University of Toronto, where she further refined her surgical skills in reconstructive and aesthetic procedures and was known for her commitment to excellence and dedication to advancing patient care. To build on her expertise, Wang pursued a fellowship in microvascular reconstruction and microsurgery at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, a premier institution for cancer treatment and research. During her fellowship, she focused on her two passions, breast reconstruction and lymphedema surgery. Outside of work, her greatest joy is her family. She enjoys painting, cooking, traveling, and trying new restaurants in Houston with a Canadian flair on the menu.

Klara Sputova, MD, MPH, is a plastic surgeon with expertise in both cosmetic and reconstructive procedures. Her areas of focus are breast cancer reconstruction, restoring the shape and appearance of the breast after a mastectomy, and other breast-related surgeries. Sputova is also skilled in microvascular autologous breast reconstruction. She also provides services including but not limited to autologous tissue reconstruction (flap procedures), implant-based reconstruction (silicone and saline implants), oncoplastic reconstruction, combination (hybrid) procedures, as well as nipple and areola reconstruction. In her free time, Sputova enjoys travel, water sports, and going on adventures with her sweet yet high-energy dog, Bella.

Danielle L. Sobol, MD, is a fellowship-trained pediatric plastic surgeon providing high-quality, family-centered care for children and adolescents with congenital and acquired conditions. With advanced training, she treats a full range of craniofacial conditions, including a high volume of children born with cleft lip and/or cleft palate, craniosynostosis, craniofacial microsomia, and other noncraniofacial congenital anomalies. She offers orthognathic (jaw) surgery and management of facial trauma. As a member of the Texas Cleft-Craniofacial Team, she is committed to a multidisciplinary care approach based on each patient’s needs, allowing comprehensive, individualized treatment plans. Sobol is also an assistant professor in the Division of Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. When not in the clinic or operating room, she is passionate about education and mentorship, training the next generation of surgeons. Sobol has moved across the country multiple times to gain top-ranked training and strives to continue advancing in her field. She earned her medical degree at Duke University School of Medicine, continuing her lifelong passion for medicine. Next, she continued to excel at the University of Washington Medical Center and Seattle Children’s Hospital throughout a busy plastic surgery residency. She further sought a specialized fellowship in pediatric craniofacial surgery at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, with Emory University, refining her expertise in pediatric and craniofacial surgery. She treats children of all ages and even offers prenatal appointments for families with ultrasound findings of cleft or other craniofacial differences. While much of her practice focuses on children, she does extend her expertise to adults with congenital differences or complex facial trauma. Outside of work, Sobol enjoys being outdoors, traveling, sampling Houston’s vibrant food scene, and spending time with her loving family and puppy.
