Ching-Jen Chen , MD

Matthew E. Koepplinger, DO, is a board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in hand and upper extremity surgery. He treats various disorders, trauma, and injuries of the upper extremities. He exhausts all nonsurgical options and considers surgery as a last resort. Koepplinger’s down-to-earth personality helps put patients at ease. His open approach to education helps patients make informed decisions regarding their care. Koepplinger is also an associate professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. He is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Osteopathic Association, the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics, the American Association of Hand Surgeons, and the American Society for Surgery of the Hand. He is also an assistant professor in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. Outside of work, Koepplinger enjoys cooking, reading, and spending time with friends and family.
