The Anderson County Special Education Co-Op provides essential services to eligible children aged 3-21 with developmental delays or disabilities, as well as those with vision and hearing disabilities from birth to age 21. These services are offered at no cost to families through the respective school districts in which the children reside.

In addition to educational support, the Co-Op also manages the retention and eventual destruction of personally identifiable information related to students with disabilities, maintaining such records for up to seven years following a student's departure from the district. Parents and adult individuals with disabilities have the option to retrieve their records before they are destroyed annually in July.
