Montgomery Bell Academy

Located in Nashville, Tenn., Montgomery Bell Academy is a college preparatory school that serves more than 600 young men in grades seven through 12. Founded in 1867, it offers a variety of academic, athletic and fine art programs. Its academic courses include mathematics, history, language arts, English, science and social studies. The academy provides a variety of facilities and programs, including college counseling, students e-mail accounts, publications centers, performance hall, technology center, library and video laboratory. It prints publications written and produced by students. The academy offers various athletic programs, including baseball, football, shooting, lacrosse and tennis. Its library provides computerized card catalogs and research vehicles, and has a collection of audiovisual materials, books, and local, national and international periodicals. The academy offers a nationally recognized interscholastic debate program that addresses issues of public policies.
