Rakesh Ponnapureddy, M.D., FACC

Dr. Schabauer is a Cardiologist and Vascular Medicine Specialist at Monument Health Heart and Vascular Institute. He received his medical degree at Northwestern University and completed his Residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Wisconsin, followed by a Fellowship in Cardiology & Vascular Medicine at Mayo Graduate School of Medicine.Dr. Schabauer is very devoted to his patients. He believes that patients have problems that can be significantly improved, no matter how complex. He is dedicated to saving and improving lives and preventing further problems for his patients in the future. He has always known that he wanted to help develop a robust and holistic program to help our community and region.In his free time, Dr. Schabauer spends time with his wife, four children and grandchildren. He likes many outdoor activities and can be found hiking, fishing, backpacking, skiing, snowshoeing, snorkeling and hunting. He likes to travel and learn about other cultures and ecosystems. He enjoys classic vehicles, cars, motorcycles and new technology. He also makes time for physical activities, spirituality, and wellness.

Dr. Kennedy earned her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Portsmouth Dominica in 2011 and completed her Family Medicine Residency at Monument Health Rapid City Hospital in 2014. Dr. Kennedy is board certified in Family Medicine.

Keely Ulmer, M.D., is a Gynecologic Oncologist at the Cancer Care Institute in Rapid City Hospital. In addition to being a Gynecologic Oncology fellow, Dr. Ulmer was also Administrative Chief Resident and a Resident Physician in Obstetrics & Gynecology at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. She attained her Medical Doctorate, graduating summa cum laude, from University of South Dakota in Vermillion. As an undergraduate, Dr. Ulmer attended Black Hills State University in Spearfish, S.D. from which she graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. in Chemistry and achieved All-America honors on the women’s basketball team. A member of Oglala Lakota Sioux Nation raised in the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, Dr. Ulmer is a person of varied, distinguished experience, such as working as a forest firefighter for the Bureau of Land Management and as a livestock manager. Dr. Ulmer has also frequently served as a mentor and student health volunteer for underserved and native populations. Outside of work, Dr. Ulmer enjoys spending time with her family, canning, and helping her husband on their ranch.
