Dr. Evans joined Greater Pittsburgh Orthopaedic Associates in 2009. He earned his B.S. from the University of Pittsburgh, and his M.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Dr. Evans completed his internship in general surgery at Mercy Hospital of Pittsburgh and his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Illinois-Chicago. Dr. Evans was a Clinical Instructor in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Dr. Evans performs most orthopaedic procedures and has a special interest in total joint replacement surgery, including robotically assisted total knee replacement and minimally invasive procedures, musculoskeletal problems of the shoulder, and arthroscopic surgery of the knee and shoulder. He also offers outpatient or same-day surgery for total hip and knee replacements for eligible patients at both affiliated hospitals, Allegheny Valley Hospital and UPMC St. Margaret.

Raymond Drabicki, MD

Dr. Drabicki is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon with fellowship training in sports medicine. He is extensively trained in shoulder replacement surgery, the most current, minimally invasive, arthroscopic surgical procedures of the shoulder, elbow and knee, and is experienced in treating a wide array of general orthopaedic issues. Dr. Drabicki is a Pittsburgh-area native and a graduate of Pine-Richland High School. After earning his medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine, he returned home to complete his orthopaedic surgery residency at Allegheny General Hospital. After residency, he completed additional fellowship training at the highly regarded Mississippi Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center in Jackson, Mississippi, and Tulane Institute of Sports Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana. During this time, Dr. Drabicki trained under nationally and internationally acclaimed shoulder specialists who pioneered many of the arthroscopic techniques employed today. After completion of his fellowship, Dr. Drabicki chose to return home and join GPOA. He currently resides in the Mars area with his wife, Katie, and two boys. As a sports medicine physician, and parent of two, Dr. Drabicki remains closely tied to high school and youth athletics, and often finds himself either on the sidelines as a team doctor or in the stands. He previously served as a head/assistant physician to the multiple collegiate and professional teams. He currently serves as the team physician for the Highlands Golden Rams and Freeport Yellow Jackets,and supports Mars and Pine-Richland athletic programs. Dr. Drabicki remains active in academic medicine and has contributed to numerous educational presentations, articles, book chapters and educational courses. He is an associate master instructor of arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder at the Orthopaedic Learning Center in Chicago, Illinois. There, he teaches the most advanced arthroscopic shoulder procedures to residents and physicians wishing to improve their technical abilities to treat difficult shoulder problems.
