Great resource for pregnant women! This is a religious organization but they are not pushy about anything.

I am an insured and licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors, and a fellow with the Philadelphia Renewal Network. I am a practitioner of psychotherapy, which literally means "soul-healing." My job is a ministry to the church to assist fellow believers in Jesus Christ to achieve behavior change as well as mental and emotional well being. I supplement the counseling ministry of your church leadership by helping parishioners get unstuck and enable a return to the primary task of all believers: keeping in step with the Spirit. My practice utilizes methods of treatment that have demonstrated efficacy through years of repeated research. These, primarily cognitive-behavioral approaches, have been approved by government agencies (i.e. SAMHSA), professional guilds (i.e. AACC & APA), and insurance companies (Aetna, BCBS, etc.). Examples of this treatment include Motivational Interviewing to treat substance abuse, or cognitive restructuring to improve anger management. My practice is also biblically-based, which might not mean much to non-Christians (who still benefit from my evidence-based treatment), but is a must for those who are disciples of Christ. Many Christian psychotherapists minimally integrate their faith into their practice. It is good to see such a therapist who you can be confident will not contradict your beliefs. My practice integrates faith, prayer, biblical truth, Christian disciplines, and theology into my practice. As believers, we have these resources; it would be a shame to neglect them.I am not on any HMO panels yet, but any PPO 3rd party payer will reimburses for my services. Some of my clients who pay directly for my service, pay according to their income in order to make it affordable, or they get assistance from their church. We can talk to your pastor about joining the Philadelphia Renewal Network so that I am partnering with your church and treatment is more affordable for you. We are here to supplement the role of your church leadership and desire to work in collaboration with them. Call today for a NO CHARGE phone consultation.
