Episcopal Community Services, founded in 1870, is a social service and welfare organization. Formally known as the City Mission, it provides housing and support programs for individuals and families. The organization offers in-house health care services for homebound senior citizens and persons with disabilities. It also provides adult education, permanent housing, child literacy and youth development programs. The organization undertakes case management, medication monitoring, advocacy and crisis intervention. It offers counseling and psychiatric assistance to individuals suffering from depression, anxiety and mental disorders and victims of substance abuse, neglect and violence. In addition, the organization organizes workshops, discussions and lectures on parenting tips, child development, and wellness and diseases prevention. Episcopal Community Services is located in Philadelphia, Pa.

The Edgemoor Community Center is a nonprofit, community-based, multiservice agency. The center provides a range of educational, recreational, self-enrichment and family support services. It offers preschool child care, computer tutorial, and before- and after- school care services. The center offers recreational activities, as well as organizes several summer camps, youth work programs and instructional classes. The Edgemoor Community Center serves as a venue for organizing various community programs. The center enrolls more than 80 children in early child care and over 85 children in school-age child care programs, as well as nearly 90 children in summer camps. It maintains an office in Wilmington, Del.
