These groups help me stay up to date on the very latest advances in cardiology care and offer opportunities for collaboration that benefit my patients. \n My wife, Robin, and I have two sons, and we are so proud to now be grandparents. When we are not spending time with our family, we enjoy staying active. For exercise, I like to cycle and golf. I also enjoy watching sports, especially Carolina basketball.

I didn't always know I wanted to be in the medical field, as others may have. But once I found it, I couldn't see myself anywhere else. I love helping my patients feel better and being part of their healthcare journeys. My approach to healthcare is collaborative. I'm board-certified through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and currently teach two university courses to nursing students studying for their master's in nursing. I am the mother of two girls, and they are my biggest passion in life. I'm married, and my husband is a fire chief. I enjoy running my girls around to their activities; both are involved in swimming and dancing. A simple passion of mine is just to have fun and make others smile.
