I didn't always know I wanted to be in the medical field, as others may have. But once I found it, I couldn't see myself anywhere else. I'm board-certified through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and currently teach two university courses to nursing students studying for their master's in nursing. I am the mother of two girls, and they are my biggest passion in life. I'm married, and my husband is a fire chief. I enjoy running my girls around to their activities; both are involved in swimming and dancing. A simple passion of mine is just to have fun and make others smile. When we are not spending time with our family, we enjoy staying active. For exercise, I like to cycle and golf. I also enjoy watching sports, especially Carolina basketball.
