If lessons must be rescheduled by an individual teacher, they will be made up according to the guidelines under the "Missed Lessons" section below. A: Registration for a term of private lessons entitles the student to 18 lessons at a specific time each week. The teacher is under no obligation to make up lessons missed by the student. Lessons postponed by the teacher will be made up before the end of the term. If a teacher has scheduled a make-up lesson and the time has been agreed upon by the student and parent ( if applicable ), the teacher is under no obligation to make up this lesson, should the student be absent. A: Yes, students may enter competitions and festivals in association with these organizations: North Carolina Federation of Music Clubs, North Carolina Music Teachers Association, Charlotte Piano Teachers Forum, and the Charlotte Symphony Young Artist Competition. The teacher will assist the student in selecting appropriate repertoire. A. Yes, during the school year there are one or two recitals per month on Sunday afternoons in the recital hall at the school. There is a mandatory rehearsal on the preceding Saturday. Rehearsals and recitals are at 2: 00 p.m. ; if a second program is needed, it will be at 3: 30 p.m.
