The Museum documents the history of the small town of Oriental, NC., which sits on the Neuse River and has one of the last working fishing harbors in Eastern Carolina. Learn about the origins of the town and its long history of fishing, lumbering, and recently of sailing. Discover how the town got its name and why is it fixated with Dragons? The Museum features special exhibits, lectures and programs. Our library contains original documents, oral histories and area research materials.
