Black Mountain Golf Course, established in 1929, is a scenic 6,215-yard, par 71 course located at the foot of the Black Mountain Range in Western North Carolina. Known for its stunning mountain views and the historic 17th hole, once the longest hole in the world, the course offers a unique and enjoyable golfing experience for players of all skill levels.
Following the catastrophic damage caused by Hurricane Helen in September 2024, the course is currently undergoing repairs with hopes to reopen in Spring 2025. The Black Mountain Women's Golf Association also provides a welcoming community for female golfers, hosting playdays from April through October.
