Asheville Municipal Golf Course, one of the oldest courses in Western North Carolina, is a historic gem designed by renowned architect Donald Ross in 1927. Recognized on the National Register of Historic Places, the par 72 course offers a blend of challenge and enjoyment amidst the scenic backdrop of Asheville.
In response to the damage caused by Hurricane Helene in September 2024, the front nine of the course has been temporarily transformed into a disc golf course, designed with the input of 2020 U.S. Disc Golf Champion Chris Dickerson. While restoration efforts are underway, golfers can still enjoy the well-maintained back nine holes, available for play in the meantime.
