Westchester County

The Westchester County Department of Environmental Facilities oversees the operations of various facilities, including material recovery and point resources recovery facilities, garbage transfer stations, sewer treatment plants and water districts. It also provides solid waste management and recycling services. The department is a part of Westchester County Government, which operates public works, public safety, mental health, finance and economic departments. Its public works department offers roadway and bridge construction and management services. Its mental health department provides psychiatric care services fro for individuals who suffer from mental illnesses, developmental disabilities and substance abuse disorders. The Westchester County Department of Environmental Facilities is located in New Rochelle, N.Y.
