History

The Sharing Place was founded in 1997 as an extension of Little Sisters of the Assumption Family Health Service (LSA), which provides wrap-around services for families in crisis in East Harlem. The Sharing Place gives neighbors and friends the opportunity to shop with dignity, even with a tight budget, while also gaining awareness of other programs at LSA. It's a warm, welcoming place where neighbors shop, meet and socialize.
