After graduating from Duke University, Dr. Zheng earned her medical degree from University of South Florida, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. Dr. Zheng served her internship and residency in general surgery at Boston University Medical Center, where she was elected to be the administrative chief resident. During residency, she also pursued hepatopancreatobiliary surgery research fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York. Dr. Zheng then completed a complex general surgical oncology fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where she also served as the administrative chief fellow.
