St John's Lutheran School

Founded in 1952, St. John's Lutheran School enrolls students in preschool through grade eight. Located in Staten Island, N.Y., it features three-day and two-day preschool, full-day kindergarten, before- and after-school centers as well as weekly chapel service. The school has an open enrollment policy for both Lutheran and nonLutheran children and offers small class sizes and Christian teachers to provide instruction. Besides core academic subjects, its curriculum includes art, music, computers, physical education, foreign language and more. Additionally, the school offers a library, resource room and educational field trips. Some of the extra-curricular activities conducted include boys/girls basketball, baseball, softball, volleyball and cheer leading.
