Shawn Ma, MD

Blake Christianson, M.D. is a radiologist specializing in Breast Imaging. He is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Radiology at Weill Cornell Medicine and an Assistant Attending Radiologist at the NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Cornell Campus.Dr. Christianson graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology where he earned his Bachelor of Science in 2014. He then received his M.D. at the Medical College of Georgia in 2018, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.Following an transitional internship at Gwinnett Medical Center from 2018 to 2019, Dr. Christianson completed residency training in Diagnostic Radiology from 2019 to 2023 at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medicine. He then completed a one-year fellowship in Breast and Oncologic Imaging at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center from 2023 to 2024. Dr. Christianson joined the faculty at Weill Cornell Medicine in August 2024 as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Radiology.Dr. Christianson’s clinical expertise is within Breast and Body Imaging. He interprets a variety of studies, including mammography, breast ultrasound, breast MRI, and body CT. He performs interventional breast procedures guided with imaging, including stereotactic biopsies, ultrasound-guided biopsies, MRI-guided biopsies, and preoperative radioactive seed localization.His research interests include resident and fellow education and optimizing breast screening within our diverse population. Brian Joo, M.D. is a radiologist specializing in Breast Imaging. He is an Assistant Professor of Radiology at Weill Cornell Medicine and an Assistant Attending Radiologist at the NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Cornell Campus. Dr. Joo graduated from Harvard University where he earned his B.A. in Biology in 2008. He then received his M.D. at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University in 2016.Following an internship at Mount Auburn Hospital, Cambridge, MA, Dr. Joo trained as a resident in Radiology from 2017 to 2021 at Rhode Island Hospital. He then completed his fellowship in Body and Breast Imaging in Radiology from 2021 to 2022 at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell.Dr. Joo joined the faculty at Weill Cornell Medicine in July 2022 as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Radiology, as a member of Women’s Imaging Division.

Karen Teresa Brown, M.D. is a board-certified radiologist specializing in interventional Radiology. She is a sessional Professor of Clinical Radiology at Weill Cornell Medicine and an Attending Radiologist at the NewYork-PresbyterianHospital-Weill Cornell Campus.Dr. Brown graduated from the University of Michigan where she earned her B.A.in 1973. She then received her M.D. in 1979 from the Boston University School of medicine.Dr. Brown completed her residency in General Surgery at Emory UniversitySchool of Medicine from 1979-1980. She then completed her fellowship in Diagnostic Radiology and Vascular Radiology at Harvard Medical School in 1985. After subsequent years in clinical practice, Dr. Brown joined the faculty at Weill Cornell Medicine in September 2022 as a Professor of Clinical Radiology.Dr. Brown’s clinical expertise is in Interventional Radiology. Dr. Brown’s research interests include, but not limited to hepatobiliary oncology, specifically hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) trans-arterial therapy for HCC, specifically investigation of the specific factors that influence response to treatment from these treatments. She has also been actively involved in the education of medical students, residents, and fellows.
