Perfect Time Piano Studio

History

This business is the private piano studio of instructor Brian Trahan. Brian has been teaching piano intensively for 11+ years, and studying himself for 18+ years. He has won numerous piano competitions and awards for classical piano, and studying with Shirley Harris at the Music Institute of Chicago, professor Louis Nagel, and jazz with Geri Allen at the University of Michigan. From November 2012 to April 2013, he taught private piano lessons at J&R Music and Computer World in lower Manhattan, and though J&R's musical instrument store went out of business, many of his students have chosen to continue studying with him at Perfect Time. This business is an affiliate of Tritone Music in Greenpoint (tritonenow.com), where Brian also teaches. Brian currently has 13 students, and is looking to expand to approximately 20. Perfect Time holds optional FREE semi-annual recitals at various locations including the National Opera Center, where students are able to perform for an audience.

Perfect Time Piano Studio offers highly acclaimed private piano lessons to students of all ages and skill levels, conveniently located in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Brian Trahan, piano teacher at Perfect Time, specializes in classical and popular piano instruction. Students may also choose to focus on contemporary rock, gospel, or jazz piano. However, new pianists always start with a foundation in classical technique and music theory, to allow for maximum growth and control in their playing as they progress. Aside from piano, students may choose to focus on music theory, songwriting, composition for film / advertising, and audio software like ProTools, Logic, and Ableton Live.
