Nassau University Medical Center, located in East Meadow, N.Y., is a more than 630-bed tertiary care teaching hospital. The medical center is affiliated with the North Shore-LIJ Health System and the Health Sciences Center of the State University of New York at Stony Brook. It has a staff of more than 3,500 that treats over 80,000 persons annually in the emergency department. Additionally, it provides services to more than 200,000 people in over 80 specialized clinics.
